After the hectic wedding celebrations that I attended, it was now time to rejoin office. Memories of the wedding were still lingering on in my mind when I arrived in office and my friends there, excitedly gathered around me to hear about the celebrations.
As I was talking to them, I noticed Calvin, one of my colleagues, was very busy with his phone. I went up to him to ask about it and he boastfully displayed the device – it was the recently launched iPhone 4S! While conversing with him I realized Calvin is addicted to anything that is ‘Apple’.
I checked the iPhone 4S. The first feature I checked was obviously Siri. Siri is definitely the new best friend in town. It organizes life easily and efficiently. Though Siri enjoyed the limelight at the launch of iPhone 4S, there are other features too that makes the device a ‘killer’.
Calvin happily explained that iPhone 4S is powered with A5 chip that delivered up to two times more power and seven times faster graphics. The effects are fantastic. With an outstanding battery life –launching apps, browsing the net, playing games, etc., – all becomes an experience in itself.
It was time we hit the workstations and as expected, there were loads of pending work, all of which required immediate attention. I requested Calvin to tell me more about the features of iPhone 4S during lunch break as I was already impressed with the device.
While we met during lunch, Calvin told me about the wonder camera that was fitted with the iPhone 4S. He addressed the camera as nothing less than magical as it is set with an 8 megapixel resolution and a custom lens with a larger f/2.4 aperture. As I browsed through the images that Calvin had captured on his phone, I was amazed with the quality I saw. Irrespective of low lighting conditions and other disturbances, the images appeared well lit and very well composed. I must say the camera is a stunner.
When I explored the video options in the iPhone, I was further impressed with this Apple product and wanted to purchase it all the more. With it, you can shoot 1080p HD video. Video stabilization especially helps when you are in a public place like a church. The new optics enable the video to be captured as is and the results are absolutely stunning. Once you have captured a video, you can instantly edit the same on the iPhone itself and save it! Wow… this is something that will surely impress all.
Calvin further mentioned that iOS of the iPhone 4S included 200 new features. With iCloud, managing photos, music, mails, contents, etc., becomes easier.
Due to the wedding, I had completely forgotten the anniversary of a colleague of mine. As my other colleagues reminded me of the occasion, I instantly turned toward Calvin and asked him if he had some option that could come to my rescue. Smiling, he handed over the phone to me and even dialed the colleague’s cell number. He made me speak to her through FaceTime, an app that lets you hear and see the face of the person you are speaking to. It works well from iPhone to iPhone, to iPad 2, or to iPod touch and to Mac over Wi-Fi.
Calvin also mentioned that with this phone, you can roam GSM networks in 200 countries across the world and that it came with one year hardware repair coverage and 90 days of telephone technical support.
After the detailed description of the features of the iPhone 4S that Calvin so patiently explained to me, I was left with no other option but to imagine holding it in my hands… my own iPhone 4S.
