Finally, I reached Julie’s hometown after a two hours flight and an hour journey by the cab. I was wondering why Julie had suddenly chosen to get married in the country side when we had the city at our disposal (her initial plans were to get married in the city only). But the moment I entered the countryside I realized that she made the best choice, the smell of the earth, the huge open spaces, and cattle grazing on its own gave me a glimpse on what we call “paradise on earth”.
I straightaway went to Julie’s ancestral home, where she was born and where the wedding is taking place. I ran to see Julie and my God! She was almost ready as a bride and I just stared at her. She looked like a dream cascaded in eternity, beautiful is the smallest word I could have used. I just hugged her, till someone told me, “it’s time bridesmaid, and you get ready too.” I too rushed.
But before anything, I gave Julie the gifts I bought for her, which almost brought tears into her eyes. She happily informed that her brother had given her Mac mini as a wedding gift. I am on the way to the church with Julie and Henry and deep down as I look into Julie’s eyes I know she is happy. And in my heart I pray for their everlasting happiness. It’s a beginning of a new life for both of them.
